Ted Bieler was born in 1938 in Kingston, Ontario.  He studied art at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, and has been exhibiting his public sculptures from Canada to Japan.  He is a sculptor and Professor of Fine Art at York University and created many privately owned works of art.  He experiments with metal casting processes which led him to ne technologies and together with Mr. L.L. Odette he established a foundry in the Odette Centre for Sculpture at York University in Toronto. 

The sculpture sits in a concrete fountain and is made from cast aluminium painted white and is cut and welded from flat steel.
