Inscription: ... This mural was donated to the Corporation of the City of Toronto by Royal Insurance Company of Canada, A. E. LePage  Limited, Lavalin Inc., and the Ontario Ministry of Culture and Recreation, through the proceeds from Wintario.
The project, initiated by the City of Toronto Planning and Development Department, Urban Design Group, required close co-operation between public-spirited corporations and governments to create and donate a work of art for a specific public place for the enjoyment of the citizens of Toronto.  The artist was selected by competition and the project was co-ordinated by Arts Administrator Rina Greer on behalf of the sponsors.
Accepted on behalf of the Citizens of Toronto by His Worship Mayor John Sewell, 19th of September 1980.
