Windswept Silhouette
Hilary Clarke Cole's Masterwork
At first glance, one sees
only the outline of a gracefully arching pine. Leaning backwards,
in characteristic fashion, it defers to the wind that over the years has
sculpted its form. A closer look, however, reveals something more
- the form of a woman emerges.
The embodies our human connection
to our wilderness heritage, evoking the passion we feel for its power and
freedom.
Rooted on a platform os Muskoka
granite, standing nine feet tall and weighing four-and-one-half tons, Windswept
Silhouette is an astonishing artistic accomplishment, life-sized,
welded steel sculpture.
