Rizal was donated to the City of Toronto
by the Philippine Consulate
General, Toronto and
The Order of the Knights
of Rizal and the
Kababaihang Rizalista (Ladies
Auxiliary) with the co-operation
of the Philippines Centennial
Commission to commemorate
the 100th year of the proclamation
of Philippine independence
on June 12, 1898.
On June 6, 1998 the bust
was unveiled on this site.
