The story of the seagull landing on the periscope raised some laughter. After landing the first time and obscuring the view the captain lowered the periscope but raising it again produced the perfect perch for the bird. This repeated itself several times until the captain gave up and raised the auxiliary periscope as well and only then was he able to scan the horizon. It must have been an evening for all small maritime things. Here is a dinghy which looked beautiful....

A German 'Schnellboot' will eventually be a scale model equipped with three motors and screws.
