Did you know

Construction started Jan 26, 2005 after intensive research

The state of construction in March 2005

Progress to this stage by May 3, 2005

The date is now September 7, 2005

Status of Construction in January 2006

It is now May 2006 Details of the enclosed bridge.
Observation area above bridge and the weather screens
of the open pool decks are shown.

Status of Construction on September 5, 2006 The final coat of paint was put on.
The Cunard black stripes of the funnel and all windows are in place.
The bow thrusters and covers are shown.

'Show and Tell' in November 2006 Fitting out phase is in progress.
The model is projected to be completed
by the end of January 2007 - exactly 2 years since it started.

Display at the International Hobby Show in Toronto on November 3-5, 2006

In Michael's words after 26 and a half months:
.

"Building this model has been quite a challenge to my model ship
building hobby. I felt frustrated at times when I had to experiment
with different material and ways of duplicating parts. However, overall
it has been a gratifying experience. I have it displayed in my family
room and enjoyed looking at it when I am lounging on my rocker."

To see the model is a feast for the eyes of the model builder
and encourages you to improve your own skills.
