Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, the foremost trauma centre in Ontario if not in Canada, has a wing of its facilities dedicated to war veterans of WWI, WWII, the Korean War and other conflicts and peace missions in which Canadians have been involved. First class care is given here to those who gave their time and risked their lives for the good of the country.

The display is geared to the veterans and consists mainly of war ship models and models that are well known to the general public, like the Queen Mary II, or show some history of the United Kingdom fleets of days gone by.

The veterans seem to be interested in the models and are mostly accompanied by relatives that help them along with their wheelchairs. They have questions, they have stories to tell. Let's hope that this display, now in its second year, becomes a tradition for many years to come.
